Cambodia still lost in 2 match versus Vietnam

This was Vietnam's second win and the result sees them top the group standings with six points from two games.

Vietnam took the lead just before the half-time break when the ball was passed to the right side of the field, then after an exchange of passes, the ball reached Nguyen Cong Phuong in front of goal and he hammered his shot to the right of goalkeeper Serei Rath to give his side the 1-0 lead and his second goal of the tournament.

Vietnam controlled the second half, with Cambodia struggling to stamp their mark and they were soon made to pay the price.

In the 72nd minute, Vietnam doubled their lead when a free-kick from the right side of the field was fired in low by Quang Hai to somehow get into the goal past the Cambodian defence and keeper to put Vietnam 2-0 up.

It was all Vietnam after that, with them adding another goal in the 75th minute when Cong Phuong grabbed his second of the match scoring directly from a free-kick directly in front of goal.

Then a minute later, Vietnam scored again through a shot by Ho Tuan Tai on the right, after receiving a pass from Cong Phuong, for the 4-0 lead.

Sothearoth Nen pulled a goal back for Cambodia in the 83rd minute via a penalty.

In the end, Vietnam were the far better side and deserved their victory.
